Okay, Yes, I Fail

Let's pretend this is the,...1,...2,...3,...4,...5,...6th post of the week why don't we? Okay, now that we have that lie, psh what? Let's try that again; Okay, now that we have that out of the way I feel better. What have I been doing this week, that I can't publish a post everyday? Well, uh, funny you should ask, because I was just personally thinking about this today (not really, that's a lie, it's just a way to enter what I'm trying to get to). I have already written a post on Monday, so I don't have to explain that day, but here goes Tuesday. It rained. Trust me, it RAINED. Full out downpoured. I wasn't pleased because of the fact I was running a race tonight. Around 2ish (pm) my dad picked me up and drove me to his house. I schlepped around the house and pretty much did nothing until around 5:15pm I had half a peanut butter sandwich to have something in me before my race. My dad had the other half for he was also running to, so was my step-mom, Trina. --Fast Forward-- It's now moments before the race and I'm warming up and stretching. Guess what,...correct! It's still raining! You can only imagine my ecstatic energy pumping through my frigid body. Then the words are said, "On your marks, get set,...GO!" I'm off running. While running through the streets of Lowell I notice two things: one being I'm beating my dad (a first), and two, I think the rain was absorbing the car emissions, which is like a god sent. Half way to through the race a really bad stomach ache forms into a cramp. At first I didn't know what it was, it most certainly didn't feel like cramp. I thought maybe it's my rain-drenched shirt pressing down on my shirt, so I lift my shirt so no more pressure is applied to my hurting core. I keep pressing on, slowly falling back. I keep on thinking that this could've been my first sub-20 minute race. The race is now close to over, and then a race director pointing which way to go for newbies says, "Let's go Mike!" Then a raging fury engulfs in me. This is my dad that he is cheering on! I thought this was going to be the night I was finally going to beat him! I'm mad now. This is a time, where if it was a cartoon my hair would be on fire and steem would be bursting out of my ears. I'm now a mere 200 feet from the finish line and I start pressing it. I see the clock and I was not going to let myself run a 22+ minute 5k (3.1 miles). I'm sprinting and sprinting and the race is finally over! I crossed at around 21:45 (7:03 miles....that's fast). I'll take it. --Fast Forward-- I'm now entering the restaurant bar that is the gathering place for all the runners of this race before and after the race. Prior entering the restaurant I changed into dry, clean clothes compared to my wet, soggy clothes I was running in. Trina had already claimed a table with her dad for all of us. There, an orange soda was awaiting me. That night I received a Miley award for my new PR (personal record), ate a buffalo chicken wrap, drank another orange soda, and congratulated my dad and Trina for getting a Golden Miley for completing the race series, and congratulating Trina for getting a plaque for being the top female runner in her age group. When I got home that night I was tired, but not too tired because I still took a shower. After my shower I was disapponted because I was missing the show Albino Murderers. Okay I know what you're thinking. You're probably thinking waht is wrong with this kid? Truth is, nothing is wrong with me, I am just an avid learner absorbing new information all the time, plus the topic really interested me. Well I'm now sick of writing right now, but I still have more to say. Maybe I will write later today if I'm not too busy (or lazy that is :) ). I'm going to take a shower now because I really feel disgusting and weaty from my run this morning.
