During Part 3 you will here of a personalized puzzle, well here it is. This is a link out of Part 3 that would've continued it on forever. So on Sunday we went to my Aunt and Uncle's house in New York. From them one of their gifts was a personalized puzzle of where I live. My house is the center piece and it goes four miles north and south of my house, and six miles east and west of my house. While I was there I opened the bag, and started on the puzzle. I managed to get the border, a few lakes, the major river, and the highway. But then it was time to go (how we transported it in post prior to this), and we packed it up. Once I got home I brought everything upstairs, including the puzzle, I put it on top of this window seat. When I woke up I started back up on it. I managed to get a lot done all by myself from 9:00am to 4:00pm. Then I brought it down two flights of stairs to the kitchen in its transporting box. From there everyone chipped in. At 9:20pm we finally finished this puzzle. Can you believe it took over one day! It was only 400 pieces, so why did it take so long you ask? Well,....one every piece had the same shade of green, and we had no picture reference. You had to know everywhere around you. Not easy, I tell you, not easy at all. You can say what you want, but it's not easy. Here are some pictures:
Yay! I'm finally done! Wait, WAIT! What's this, is that a missing piece?! Ahhh!
Has anyone seen this missing piece?
Oh thank god, it was only on the ground! Woo, I think my heart skipped a beat there.
Yay! Are you going to keep it together or take it apart and put it back in the box?
ReplyDeleteWell I'm not quite sure. I think we will keep it together for awhile, but not forever. But it's really cool, I'm learning things I didn't know about my own town and neighboring towns!

Hi Auntie Birdy! Is your name really Birdy? I think that would be super cool. My lifelong goal was to meet someone named Bob. My goal has already been accomplished. I can rest in peace.
ReplyDeleteOh yea, nice puzzle.
i noticed you used Machu Picchu for your photo. Did you hike there too? And if so, did you also do Huayna Picchu?
ReplyDeleteHow many pieces are in the puzzle?
Finally! Another person who likes Machu Picchu and knows what it is! Sadly no, I have not been to Machu Picchu, or climb Huayna Picchu. :-(. I wish to so badly though. But something is tell me that I will be going in the near future because for Christmas, call me obsessed, but I got a Machu Picchu Self Guide Book, and a calendar with a picture of Machu Picchu on each month. Also my laptop wallpaper is Machu Picchu with Huayna Picchu in the background. And to answer your other question, there were 400 pieces in the puzzle, but I got another for Christmas that is 1500 pieces.
