Winter Wonderland
Saturday, the 5th, was indeed a very good day. To start off, I wake up and go downstairs and have a nice hot cup of hot cocoa, while on my computer and watching TV. A nice way to relax. Then at around 12:00pm EST, I start my day, take a shower, get dressed, and eat lunch. Then my mom gets home from grocery shopping. Once all done with putting everything away, my mom takes my sis, my step-brother, and I to Michael's craft store for Christmas project ideas. When we get there I knew exactly where I was going, it's where I got every year for Christmas present ideas, its the wooden area. But this year is going to be different I'm not going to make wooden gifts, I'm going to bake and something else yet to figure out. By now I'm alone no one insight of my family to see, and I come across candle wax and kits. I think to myself what a great idea for presents. Then I receive a text, from my sister, saying where are you. Now I realize that I should go back and find them now. So I do, and I find them near the cash registers, when I get there my sister comes to me and says you can make a gingerbread house or a gingerbread christmas tree. I chose the house, a classic. So then I tell my mom about the candle idea. And so I bring her to the candle materials, and we discuss the idea. In the end I decided not to make the candles. So we paid for our purchases, and left. When we walked outside it was lightly raining slush. This was the start of the first major snow fall of the season. When we got home I immediately started on my gingerbread house. I made the frosting, easy, very easy. Then came putting up the walls. Let me tell you it was not as easy as it looks. When I finally got those annoying walls up, it was time to ice the roofs. So I start icing the first side fo the roof, and what starts to happen? It starts to slide, just when I thought the difficulties were over. Thankfully I got it done. Then I could start to decorate with such intricate details. After a good, hard working hour and a half to an hour and forty-five minutes I finished. Not long after my brother finished his house as well. Then my sister and mom got home from my sister's soccer game. And then it was brought up to decorate the tree. And that's just what we did. Ornament, by ornament the tree slowly came alive with memories and stories, good times and laughs. Its one of those moments every year that are priceless. From the time we got home, it really started to snow. When we had finished decorating the tree, we started dinner. We had sort of a course meal, or at least was supposed to. We had nachos, sided with green salsa, sour cream, and regular salsa. While snacking on this we watched Elf, oh what a great movie that is. We were supposed to have quesadillas, but those nachos stuffed us all. About halfway through the movie, we were treated with peppermint ice cream. After awhile we started to drowse off. So some of us, including me, went up to bed. And that was that, the end of the day only two hours away. This day, was one of the best, and one not to forget.

That sounds awesome!!! Gingerbread houses and Christmas tree decorating and nachos combine to make a perfect day! The whole world seems like a better place when you have nachos. Elf is a hysterical movie, I agree. "You're not Santa! You smell like beef and cheese!" That is one of the most hyserical things I have ever heard in my life! I've seen it more times than I can count, but it never gets old. I think you should have had quesadillas anyways. Mexican food is the best food. And what's with you and cocoa? You'd think that you lived on it!!!

I realize that I spelled hysterical wrong. I apologize profusely.
